Individual interests.
Shared support.
Membership connects you with people investigating many different aspects of Revolutionary life, from a first impression to a longstanding research interest.
You do not need an established interpretation to get started. Newcomers and experienced members alike have something to learn and something to offer.
Learn with others.
Talk through a source, ask for another perspective, or learn from someone who has tried a technique before. Mentoring makes an unfamiliar subject easier to approach.
Develop your interpretation.
Use the member research library to locate reading and source guides, then consider how that evidence informs your clothing, equipment, and demonstrations.
Find ways to participate.
Look for opportunities to contribute at programs, attend workshops, or pursue a subject alongside other members.
Stay connected to your unit.
OAS membership complements your existing affiliation, bringing together people from different units around civilian and support roles.

The practical details.
Do I join as an individual or a unit?
You join OAS as an individual. Membership requires that you belong to a military unit within an umbrella organization that portrays the history of the American Revolution.
What are the annual dues?
Dues are $20 per adult per year. Children under 18 in the same household are covered under one adult membership.
How do I apply?
Please email us first. OAS uses a Google membership form, and we’ll help you with the next steps after your initial inquiry.

Tell us what draws you in.
In your introduction, include your military unit, umbrella organization, and the aspect of Revolutionary life you would like to explore. That helps us respond to your particular interests.
